Joint platform for dialogue of MP ladies resumes activity in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ – The joint platform for dialogue of MPs of Moldova has gathered, on Tuesday, 26 November, in the first meeting in a new format. The meeting has been also attended by Swedish Ambassador, Anna Lyberg, UNDP resident representative in Moldova, Dima Al – Khatib, and UN acting country representative, Milana Rikanovic, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
In her greeting, Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has welcomed the relaunch of platform of MP ladies, and expressed the hope that it will have continuity and that communication of participants will be permanent.
"The platform must come with important initiatives for citizens, first of all, in the field of social protection, so that people feel the usefulness of activity of women MPs," specified Zinaida Greceanii.
The participants of platform of MP ladies have received assurances from the development partners of all the support necessary to facilitate its activity.
The joint platform for dialogue of MPs of Moldova was established in 2015 and has aimed to establish a communication MPs, for a better cooperation in promoting the issues of common interest in society.
Every fourth MP is a woman in the Parliament of Moldova.
