Chisinau has three deputy mayors

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/- Ilie Ceban, Inga Ionesii and Angela Cutasevici were elected deputy mayors of the capital. The decision was taken on 27 November by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC). The candidates were supported by the vote of 27 councilors.
Inga Ionesii, who will be deputy mayor on investment and economy, has so far held the position of Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Estonia. Ilie Ceban is a lawyer and a master of law. He will serve as deputy mayor in the legal field. Angela Cutasevici will be deputy mayor on social and especially in the field of education. She was previously Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
The candidates for the position of deputy mayors of Chisinau municipality were proposed last week by mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban. The CMC also examined, at the previous meeting, the appointment of Ilie Ceban, Angela Cutasevici and Inga Ionesii as deputy mayor, but the candidates did not meet the required number of votes at that time. At the same meeting, only Victor Chironda gained 41 votes out of the minimum 26 required and was elected deputy mayor.
Chisinau has four deputy mayors.
