Moldovan parliament speaker meets ambassador of the Netherlands

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii today met Bucharest-based Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Roelof Van Ees, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.
The speaker welcomed the Dutch diplomat’s presence in Moldova and expressed the Moldovan authorities’ interest in the continuation of the ascendant cooperation between Moldova and the Netherlands.
”We thank for the considerable support Moldova enjoys on behalf of the Netherlands, including in the process of learning the democratic lessons. We speak out for the continuation of the bilateral programmes in all sectors,” Zinaida Grecianii said.
The parliament speaker reiterated, on this occasion too, that the Moldovan authorities remained firm on the stance of observing the commitments to the development partners, including within the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The speaker also pointed out Moldova’s intention to carry out the justice reform, which represents an obligation to the citizens and a commitment to the foreign partners, as well as to carry through the fight against corruption.
Roelof Van Ees highlighted his country’s interest in Moldova’s political evolution and expressed openness for continuing the multilateral cooperation with Moldova.
