Social sector, infrastructure to be priority in 2020 budget - Moldovan speaker says

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/- In the budget for 2020, a significant part will be dedicated to the social and infrastructure investment, Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi told a show of the TV channel NTV, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

According to the speaker, over one billion lei will be invested in the infrastructure and new jobs will be created to carry out the development programs.

On the social dimension, the draft budget provides for indexing pensions twice a year, providing benefits for winter holidays for over 600 thousand pensioners, benefits for young specialists, supporting teachers, doctors, especially in rural areas and other social initiatives for citizens.

At the same time, Zinaida Greceanîi said that the authorities are determined to continue the previously launched investment projects in collaboration with the development partners.

She noted that examining the draft budget for 2020 will be a priority issue for MPs at the next stage.
