Slovakia to provide Moldova with needed support in advancing on European path

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Ion Chicu, has dialogued, on Thursday, 28 November, with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Slovakia in Moldova, Dusan Dacho. The officials have reviewed more issues of Moldovan – Slovak cooperation, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
PM has introduced the diplomat the objectives pursued by Government, by promoting the draft law of the State Budget (BS), adopted at the meeting on 27 November, mentioning that the budget will be one of investments in infrastructure, attracting of these, creating jobs and increasing the well – being of people.
The parties have expressed their interest in identifying ways to intensify bilateral cooperation. In this context, PM has thanked the Slovak Ambassador for technical and financial assistance granted to Moldova by Slovak Government, noting that after the entry into force of the DCFTA Agreement, the value of bilateral trade with Slovakia has increased considerably.
The Premier has reiterated the Government's plenary commitment to continue the European path of Moldova, by implementing the Moldova – EU Association Agreement, but also the necessary reforms for it, highlighting the importance of justice reform.
Ion Chicu also appreciated the support from the member states of the Visegrad group, including Slovakia, and the importance attached to strengthening relations with the Eastern Partnership states.
Dusan Dacho has appreciated the objectives of the Chicu Government and gave assurances that Slovakia continues to be a friend to Moldova and it will provide the needed support, including technical and expert assistance for Moldova to advance on the European path.
