Moldovan presidential adviser on economic issues participates in international conference: Eurasian economic integration

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ – At the suggestion of the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and at invitation of Russian party, presidential adviser on economic issues, Elena Gorelova, undertakes a visit to Moscow, as to attend the 14th international conference: Eurasian economic integration.
According to the presidency’s press service, the event is organised by the Eurasian Development Bank (BDE), so as to examine current issues related to further integration into the area of Eurasian Economic Union (UEEA), as well as topics related to developing the most prospective sectors of the national economies of the member countries of UEEA.
Similarly, Elena Gorelova will discuss with the representatives of the UEEA states upon possibility of accession of Moldova to BDE, taking into account the fact that, in May 2018, Moldova became an observer country to UEEA. "If the negotiations are successful, Moldova will be able to take advantage of the benefits and support of BDE to attract investments, especially in infrastructure," said Igor Dodon.
The BDE has operated since 2006. Its mission is to promote the market economy in Member States of Bank, their economic growth and extension of commercial – economic relations between them by means of investment activity.
In this context, the head of state has noted that the strengthening of trade and economic relations with states of the Eurasian Economic Union reflects the long – term national interests of Moldova, as it opens wide prospects for Moldovan goods export and supporting domestic business. Also, Igor Dodon has specified that Moldovan leadership will continue to promote a balanced foreign policy based on pragmatic partnerships with Eastern and Western countries.
