First field for stocking, reuse of vegetable waste opened in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The first authorized platform for the stocking and processing of vegetable waste has started working in the Moldovan capital. The field has an area of 0.65 hectares and is placed in the Botanica district on the territory of the residual water-purifying station.
Dry leaves, mowed grass, as well as sawdust got from taking care of trees and bushes will be stocked on the new platform. After the depositing, the waste will be processed to get an organic compost, which could be used for the arrangement of flower beds, vases from public places, as well for planting trees in parks and squares.
The organic compost will be got as a result of the mixture of vegetable waste and the dehydrated mud, got from the processing of residual waters. They will be arranged in layers and after fermentation, organic fertilizers will be got.
The platform of vegetable waste was created based on a pilot project, carried out by the municipal enterprise, Association of green areas’ management, jointly with the stock company Apa-Canal Chisinau.
