Moldovan president participates in reception given on occasion of Romania's National Day

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon on 29 November participated in a reception given by the Romanian Embassy on the occasion of Romania’s National Day. At the event, the head of state conveyed to the entire Romanian nation congratulations, as well as good wishes, peace and progress, the presidential press service has reported.   

Igor Dodon found out with satisfaction that the current relations between Moldova and Romania were on continuous rise.

Also, the Moldovan president stressed that Romania had been and would remain Moldova’s strategic partner. Dodon said that not only the historic past had been at the basis of this relation, but also the close cultural and people-to-people ties, the consolidated bilateral projects which are successfully implemented in diverse sectors. In this context, the president thanked for the financial assistance on behalf of Romania, provided based on the bilateral non-refundable agreements.  

Igor Dodon highlighted the results achieved also in the economic dimension, as Romania is Moldova’s commercial partner No 1 and the principal sales market for the Moldovan wines.  

The president of Moldova repeatedly conveyed congratulations to Klaus Iohannis on the victory gained at the presidential elections and reiterated the invitation to pay an official visit to Moldova.  

In the end, the head of state reconfirmed that Romania represented a priority for the presidential administration. He also said that a contingent of the National Army would participate in the military parade in Bucharest on 1 December, organized on the occasion of Romania’s National Day.
