France reiterates support for reforms in Moldova  

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/- Opportunities for boosting Moldovan-French relations in the social and economic sectors were discussed today at a meeting between Prime Minister Ion Chicu and French Ambassador to Chisinau Pascal Le Deunff, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The Prime Minister thanked the French Republic for its support to our country. "The main priorities of the Chisinau government are fight against corruption, justice reform, which is the basis of any rule of law and building of a transparent banking sector", he said.

Pascal Le Deunff reiterated his country's intention to support Moldova’s efforts in implementing the Association Agreement with the European Union.

"We highly appreciate the dialogue and good relations between our countries and we will support the actions of the Government of the Republic of Moldova aimed at developing the economic and social relations between our states," the French diplomat said.

In this context, the French Ambassador expressed the opinion that there are unused opportunities that may increase French investments in our country.
