Moldovan parliament adopts state social insurances budget in final reading

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - The state social insurances budget (BASS) has been voted in final reading and was estimated without deficit.
Under the document, revenues amounting to 23, 491 million lei are forecast for 2020, up by 9.6 per cent. The expenses are proposed to stand at 23, 491 million lei, also increasing by 9.6 per cent.
In the structure of the revenues of BASS, the latter’s general resources will account for 63.6 per cent and the transfers from the state budget – about 36.4 per cent.
Among the new policy measures, which influenced the BASS spending, there are: revising, starting from 1 July, of the period of re-consideration of the age limit pensions, increase from 100 to 300 lei of the quantum of the monthly state allocation for the beneficiaries from the participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, as well as of the persons who participated in the combat actions in Afghanistan and in other states; extending the right to state social allocation amounting to 500 lei also to the rehabilitated victims of the political repressions; increase in the quantum of state social allocations to people with disabilities; providing the monthly allowance to the survivor spouse, in the case of the death of insured person, who benefited from right to age limit pension in a term shorter than 5 years after the date of getting this right; providing one-off in a quantum of 700 lei to the beneficiaries of pensions and state allocations.
When making the forecast of BASS indexes, decision-takers used such macro-economic indicators as the increase of the Gross Domestic Product by 3.8 per cent in 2020, an inflation of 5.7-per cent, an 8.7-per cent increase of the monthly nominal average salary and an 8.5-per cent growth of the labour remuneration fund.
