Moldova's public sector employees to receive annual bonuses worth half salary

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs approved a draft on the amendment of the law on the single salary payment system in the public sector at a today’s meeting.
Under the draft, the annual bonus worth 50 per cent of the basic salary will be reintroduced; the way the bonus is going to be provided will be established by the cabinet.
The staff of the public sector units from the left bank of Dniester, Varnita village, Anenii Noi district, villages of Copanca and Hagimus, Causeni district, Bender city, as well as of the Interior Ministry’s subdivisions of the Dubasari district will benefit from increased salary by four successive wage payment grades.
The draft also sees monthly increases of up to 1,100 lei for scientific, scientific and didactic title. The people who were awarded honorific titles will have a monthly benefit of up to 250 lei.
According to the draft, the salaries of nurses, assistants of educators, librarians and curators will increase. At the same time, the categories of salary payment for educators, teachers and professor will equalize. The salaries for the people with public offices from the local public authorities with a population less than 20,000 residents will grow.
The draft implies financial costs estimated at about 373.4 million lei in annual calculation. The spending is provided for in the state budget draft for 2020.
