Healthcare insurance policies to have same price in Moldova in 2020

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ – The MPs have voted, on Thursday, 19 December, in final reading the Law on compulsory healthcare insurance funds (AOAM) for 2020.

According to document, there were established their revenues and expenses in the amount of MDL 8,383.4 mln, with an increase of revenues of 14.4 per cent and of expenses by 11.4 per cent.

The premium income will constitute almost 63.5 per cent of the total revenues of AOAM funds. The transfers from state budget (BS) for insuring the categories of persons insured by Government are expected at the level of 34 per cent.

Also today, it was decided to maintain the cost of the compulsory healthcare insurance premium in the form of a fixed amount for 2020 at the level of 2019, in the amount of MDL 4,056. Also, the reductions will be maintained when purchasing it for several categories of individuals and institutions.

As in 2019, the amount of compulsory healthcare insurance premiums will remain at the level of 09 per cent, including 4.5 per cent – paid by employee and 4.5 per cent – paid by employer.
