Moldova, Italy sign first executive programme on cultural cooperation for 2020-2022

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu had a meeting with PM of Italy Giuseppe Conte during his visit to Rome today.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the two prime ministers discussed the evolution of the bilateral relations and opportunities to boost the Moldovan-Italian cooperation.
The first executive programme on cultural cooperation between the governments of Moldova and Italy for 2020-2022 was signed in the presence of the two prime ministers. Moldova’s charge d’ affaires in Italy, Andrian Popescu signed the document.
The collaboration framework will consolidate the bilateral exchanges on the dimensions of culture, education and will contribute to the deepening of the friendship ties between the two countries.
According to the programme, during the next years, Moldova and Italy will makes exchanges of textbooks, teachers, as well as education scholarships for students from both countries.
Other important compartments provided for in the programme deal with the cooperation on the following segments: culture, art and design; science and technology, archaeology, restoration, preservation and protection of the cultural heritage; archives and libraries; informing and cooperation in the radio and TV sector, sport and human rights.
