Elderly people from Moldova with no needed length of pensionable service to receive higher allocations

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The quantum of social allocation for elderly people, who do not have a length of pensionable service of at least 15 years and cannot benefit from age limit pension, will increase. The MPs adopted a draft law to this effect today.
The legislative initiative belongs to a group of lawmakers of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and sees also a 50-per cent growth of the allocation for people with disabilities.
Under the draft, 8,910 elderly people and about 12,178 persons with disabilities will benefit from increases of the quantum of state social allocations. The means needed for covering the expenses for the enforcement of the law are provided for the in the 2020 state budget law, as well as are identified for medium term.
At present, the elderly people who do not have a length of pensionable service of at least 15 years benefit from an allocation of 215.87 lei monthly. The allocation for the people with disabilities is worth 323.8 lei for the ones with severe disabilities, 302.21 lei for persons with pronounced disabilities and 215.87 lei for medium disabilities.
