Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The subsidization of the sector of cultivation of aromatic plants and support in boosting the legislation’s amendments were some of the requirements set forth by representatives of the Association of Lavender at a 19 December meeting with Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Minister Ion Perju.
According to the head of the aforementioned association, Alexandru Badarau, investments are necessary in the sector of cultivating aromatic plants. “And this, to discover new sales markets. Also, it is necessary to amend the legislation and facilitate the access to subsidization for the harvesting technology, as well as to facilitate the access to new grants and investment projects,” Badarau noted.
Cultivators said that they had studied the foreign market and found out that “the demand of aromatic oils is increased on the foreign market, or, for this reason, producers are set to increase the number of members of the association, in order to make progress in the discovery of new sales markets and export of aromatic oils.”
For his part, Minister Ion Perju expressed willingness to provide needed institutional support, in order to develop this sector through facilitating the dialogue between the development partners and producers. At the same time, the official said that he would speak out for changing the legislation, in order to ensure access to subsidization.
