Moldovan parliament declares one MP mandate vacant

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - Two MP seats will remain vacant. The parliament today declared vacant a lawmaker mandate belonging to the ACUM bloc and took note of the resignation of an MP of the Democratic Party (PDM), Alexandru Botnari.
The vacancy of the lawmaker mandate in the ACUM bloc appeared after the death of MP Sergiu Cataranciuc. Historian Virgiliu Paslariuc might take his place. Also today, the lawmakers took note of the application on resignation by MP Alexandru Botnari. Botnari gave up the mandate of lawmaker, as he is in incompatibility of offices, after he had won the local elections for the position of mayor of the central Hancesti town.
Snap parliamentary polls will be organized for the MP mandate in the uninominal district No 38 from the Hancesti town.
