Moldovan parliament ends autumn session 2019

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament has convened, on Friday, at its last plenary session of the autumn session of 2019. The MPs approved the Decision on the conclusion of the second ordinary session of 2019, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The heads of the parliamentary factions have given speeches at the end of the autumn session, taking stock of the parliamentary activity.
Parliament Speaker, Zinaida Greceanii, has congratulated MPs on the occasion of closing of session. The Speaker has made a brief account of the parliamentary activity in the autumn session. During this period, there were adopted 159 legislative acts, of which 73 laws and 100 decisions, and according to preliminary data, there were approved 81 draft legislative acts at first reading. The authors of almost 70 per cent of all legislative acts registered in the Parliament of Moldova are MPs.
Zinaida Greceanii has addressed the congratulations to her colleagues on the occasion of upcoming winter holidays. "Let everything that is more beautiful and special belong to you and remember that the citizens of Moldova have high expectations from each of us, let us all contribute to fulfillment of their wishes," said SP.
Traditionally, the session has ended with the intonation of the State Anthem by Academic Choral Chapel Doina, first conductor Ilona Stepan, Emeritus Artist.
Also at the last meeting, MPs have been congratulated by the members of folk ensemble Haiducii from the district cultural palace Nicolae Lupov in Rezina, artistic director Maxim Frunze.
According to the Regulations of Legislature, Parliament meets in 02 ordinary sessions a year. The spring session begins in February and may not exceed the end of July. The autumn session begins in September and may not exceed the end of December. The first plenary session of the autumn session 2019 was held on 27 September.
