Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today participated in a ceremony on marking the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the south-eastern Stefan Voda district, held at the community centre from the district centre, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM congratulated the district’s residents on this event, noting that the people were the wealth of the place. In the context, Ion Chicu stressed that the cabinet’s priority here was to create possibilities for which people leave the country abroad.
„Our parents and forefathers have left us a history, a nice country. We must think what we will leave. The task is not at all easy; yet, we rely on the cooperation between the central public authorities and the local ones. The past and the present unite all of us and we should make the future unite our children,” Prime Minister Chicu said.
In the context, the PM specified that the Government’s Action Plan for 2020-2023 included a string of measures meant to boost the country’s development. “I am sure that we can direct the country on the way of development, beginning with the modernization of its settlements; therefore, it is a priority for us to massively invest in infrastructure, education and health, all this in order to provide the people with well-being and confidence in Moldova’s future,” the prime minister said.
