PM says Moldova needs foreign partners' support to implement complex reforms underway

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Ion Chicu, has had a meeting, on Monday, with the head of EU Delegation in Chisinau, Ambassador Peter Michalko. The officials have discussed the existing situation in Moldova, with an emphasis upon evolution of its justice reform and economic development, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The EU ambassador has specified upon the need to develop a well – defined strategy for implementing justice reform. In this context, Peter Michalko has mentioned the importance of continuing the investigations initiated by the General Prosecutor's Office (PG) in resonance files.
PM has said that justice reform remains the priority of Government and it is working hard on it. In this regard, the chief of Executive has spoken about exchange of views held with head of Venice Commission, Gianni Buquicchio, in Strasbourg and in Chisinau. The officials have also discussed the issue of blockage at the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM).
"We are aware that in the process of implementing the complex reforms we have started, we need communication and support from external partners," added Ion Chicu.
At the end of dialogue, PM Chicu has thanked EU for expanding its export quotas on European market and assured the official that Government remains open for honest cooperation with EU.
