Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/- The non-taxable limit for goods through international postal items will decrease from 1 January 2020. The maximum amount for which no customs payments will be charged will be 200 euros, and not 300 euros as now.
The legislative amendments adopted in August this year concern the private people who set goods for personal use through international parcels.
Thus, packages for individuals which value does not exceed 200 euros and are not intended for marketing will be exempt from customs payments, such as VAT, excise duties, customs duties, customs procedures fee.
In cases where the goods are of commercial nature, they exceed the quantitative limits set by the legislation or their intrinsic value exceeds the non-taxable limit of 200 euros, the customs payments will be calculated based on the customs value of goods.
