PM pays working visit to south Moldova district

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today paid a visit to the southern Basarabeasca town, where he had a working meeting with the leadership of the district and settlements. At the meeting, the PM was informed about the social and economic situation in the district, problems faced by the local authorities and the region’s development vision, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Among the subjects tackled by the representatives of local public authorities (APL), there were: investments in roads’ infrastructure, nourishment of children in schools and kindergartens, insufficiency of jobs and the need to identify solutions to making young people remain in the region.
Ion Chicu also referred to the actions undertaken by the cabinet and the Government’s Action Programme for 2020-2023, meant to modernize the national infrastructure, boost the investments in Moldova’s industrialization and enhance the people’s well-being.
„The Action Programme is a voluminous act and contains more than 1,000 concrete activities. The goal we pursue is to develop the country’s infrastructure and bring stable and well-paid jobs to all Moldova’s districts, close to people’s homes,” the prime minister noted.
The PM assured the local authorities that all public institutions had missions in the government’s programme and urged to join efforts for modernizing the country and bring to Moldova opportunities of employment and personal development for all people.
