U.S. envoy willing to cooperate with authorities from southern Moldova

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/- U.S. Ambassador to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan paid a visit to Cimislia. During the meetings with the local authorities, the diplomat expressed "an absolute openness for dialogue", according to the town hall of the locality.

The topics of the discussions between Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan and Mayor of Cimişlia Sergiu Andronachi referred to the development goals of the city, as well as identifying areas for future collaboration.

In this context, Sergiu Andronachi thanked the American people for all support given to the city, including for the numerous projects implemented in Cimislia.

"The meeting with the US ambassador to Moldova was a productive one, and the Cimișlia city administration is open for a successful collaboration in the future," sources in Cimişlia City Hall said.

Currently, Cimișlia City Hall is a partner locality within the My Community Program, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the purpose of which is to support local public authorities in an effort to ensure efficient, transparent and accountable governance towards citizens.
