Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ – The promulgation decree and the law on aviation security have been published, on Tuesday, 31 December, in the Official Journal (MO).

The document was promulgated after it was re – examined in Legislature at the request of President Igor Dodon.

President of Moldova called for a review of document adopted on 23 November 2018, on the grounds that the wording submitted for promulgation did not meet the purpose of implementing European regulations in the Agreement on the common airspace of Moldova – EU and member states. They generate uncertainties and difficulties in carrying out the practical tasks of the profile institutions, reduce and affect the functional competences of public entities meant to ensure security regime.

The head of state specified that the document previously approved by MPs distorted the competences of Border Police (PF), including ensuring security, application and management of security equipment, and de facto transferred them to an economic agent.
