Moldovan State Administration of Roads says traffic normal on national roads

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD) today informed that precipitation had been recorded in some regions of Moldova on the last night; yet, the national roads are practicable and ‘’permanently monitored.’’   

„During the last night, snowfall and sleet was registered in the northern and central regions and rains – in southern region and glazed frost appeared in places. All dangerous sectors are permanently monitored by local managers of roads and they intervene, if necessary,’’, sources from the State Administration of Roads have said.   

According to ASD, works of patrol and combating glazed ice were carried out on national roads and the movement takes place as normal.

At the same time, the state enterprise State Administration of Roads recommends that the participants in the traffic observe the provisions of the road traffic regulations, especially the ones on vehicles’ endowment and their driving in winter conditions.

Rescuers also urge drivers to endow their vehicles with winter tyres, according to the winter season, and they should also have shovel, sand, warm clothes, a blanket and water reserves in the car’s boot. Also, it is recommended that people choosing to set out for a long road should have the phone battery charged and call the 112 Service in risky situations.
