Over 200 new enterprises recorded in south Moldova Gagauz autonomy in 2019

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - Over 200 new economic agents were registered in the Gagauz-Yeri Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA Gagauz-Yeri) in 2019.

According to the department for economic development from the Gagauz autonomy, last year, 213 enterprises started working, of which 17 with the participation of foreign capital, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.

A number of 103 out of all companies registered will deal with the providing of services and 26 will work in the industry sector. Also, 30 of the new enterprises have their activity sphere in agriculture and 54 – in trade.

At the same time, nine functional enterprises in 2019 transferred their legal address in the Gagauz autonomy and starting from 2020, they will pay taxes to the region’s budget.

At present, 240 enterprises with foreign property share work in UTA Gagauz-Yeri.
