U.S. dollar to appreciate against Moldovan leu on days to come

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - The single European currency will cheapen by 0.01 leu and the U.S. dollar will appreciate by 0.02 lei against the Moldovan leu in the end of this week, according to the official exchange rates posted by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).

Thus, the euro will cost 19.16 lei on the days to come, by 0.01 less than today. The American dollar will depreciate by 0.02 lei, to an official price of 17.25 lei.

The Romanian leu will have the same quotations. BNM set an official exchange rate of 4.01 lei for this currency.

The Russian rouble and the Ukrainian hryvnia will appreciate by 0.01 leu and cheapen by 0.01 leu, respectively.

The official exchange rates announced by BNM today will remain valid till 13 January.
