Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - Meteorologists forecast day-time air temperatures up to +9 Celsius degrees and light frost at night for the next days, the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has said.
According to meteorologists, the air temperatures will oscillate, on average, between +4 and +9 degrees in Moldova on 11-12 January. At night, the air temperature is to drop to -3 degrees, with lower temperatures due to be recorded in the northern region. Light snow with sleet is possible also in north Moldova.
The same weather tendency will maintain in early next week too; on 13 January, the air temperatures are to vary between +3 and +8 degrees during the day and between 0 and -5 degrees at night.
The hydrological warning as to the danger posed by the ice formations, which appeared in water basins following the night frost, remains in force till 17 January.
The ice is thin and getting out on it is dangerous. Rescuers reiterate their warning to residents, especially parents of minor children, who are warned to prove caution nearby water sources.
