Moldovan electoral body sets up electoral council for parliamentary elections in Hancesti

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/- The Central Election Commission (CEC) set up the electoral council of the uninominal constituency No38, Hâncești municipality, to organize and hld new parliamentary elections on 15 March.
According to the CEC decision, the secretary of the Hâncești district council will hold first meeting of the district electoral council no later than today, January 11th. Subsequently, the electoral body shall elect, by secret ballot, the head, deputy head and secretary.Following this procedure, the information on the place (office), the date and time of receipt of the documents for the registration of the electoral competitors will be made public.
According to the timetable approved by the CEC, until February 8, the polling stations will be created based on the proposals of the mayors.
On 15 March the inhabitants of the constituency No38, Hancesti, would again vote, after MP elected on 24 Ferbuary 2019 Alexandru Botnari stepped down as MP for mayor of Hancesti.
Several representatives of political parties will apply for this position.
According to the electoral law, if a deputy elected in a uninominal constituency gives up mandate, there are organized new parliamentary elections.
