Chisinau mayor requires to fine people throwing garbage in street

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/- Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban asked officials of the city hall to come up with a document that would allow the fine of people and economic agents, who throw garbage in the street.

He requires fines of over 5,000 or even 10,000 lei. He says that maybe it will make citizens keep cleaning the city and appreciate the work of the sanitation. "If you want to be clean, then keep it clean. I request for the next meeting of the Municipal Council to discuss this issue, because we are all responsible - the city hall, citizens and economic agents,” he said.

At the same time, the mayor expressed his dissatisfaction that several companies do not pay the rented spaces from the municipality.
