Moldovan diplomacy head meets U.S. ambassador

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The agenda of the Moldova –USA Strategic Dialogue today was discussed at a meeting between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

The two officials highlighted the importance to strengthen the Moldovan-American Strategic Dialogue and agreed upon the agenda of the meetings for the near future.

Minister Aureliu Ciocoi expressed appreciations for the assistance provided by the United States, which contributes to strengthening the democratic processes and fortifying the key sectors of the national economy.

For his part, Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan reiterated the support of the United States for the implementation of structural reforms, in particular, in the justice reform sector.

The sides analyzed the regional and international political developments and agreed on the need to maintain a continuous dialogue on the events regarding the mutual interest of the two states and the Moldovan-American bilateral cooperation.
