Moldovan electoral body starts electoral process in Hancesti district

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/- The Central Election Commission / CEC / started today the electoral process in uninominal district Hâncești.
From 15 January to 24 January, applications can be submitted for registration of initiative groups that will collect the signatures necessary to support candidates. The documentation will be submitted to the Electoral Council of Hincesti Electoral District, which has three days to decide whether to register or not register the initiative group.
According to the electoral law, a male candidate will collect from 500 to 1,000 signatures, the female candidate will collect fewer signatures - from 250 to 500. After receiving the documents, the electoral body will attest or not, until 13 February quality of signatures. Subsequently, the electoral body has seven more days to examine the candidate's file and decide on registration or non-registration.
