Chisinau municipal council approves appointment of new councilor

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau municipal council (CMC), at a today’s meeting, approved the appointment of a new councilor. It is about Irina Zababurina, - an alternate candidate on the list of the Party of Socialists (PSRM).

The candidacy of Irina Zababurina was approved after Marina Radvan had given up the mandate of municipal councilor in the favour of Moldovan lawmaker.

Zababurina will be a member in the commission for economy, budget, finances, public heritage, agriculture and suburbs’ problems.

CMC has 51 members. The PSRM faction has 22 councilors. The Dignity and Truth Platform Party is represented by ten councilors in CMC. Another nine councilors belong to the Action and Solidarity Party and three councilors – to the Liberal Party.

The Chisinau municipal council is also made up of two councilors on behalf of the Moldovan Democratic Party and Shor Party each. The National Unity Party, the New Force Movement and the Party of Communists have one councilor each.
