Coat of arms, flag of central Moldova district village confirmed under presidential decree

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Paulesti village from the central Calarasi district will have coat of arms and flag. A decree on the registration of the village’s symbols, signed by Moldova’s president, will be published in the 24 January issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The coat of arms of the Paulesti village represents a golden field, with an osier basket, laid at the basis of the shield, full of grapes and apples, everything in natural colours. The basis of the shield is partitioned in the chess table, silver and green, and the shield is stamped by a golden village crown.
The settlement’s flag represents a yellow square shroud, with a basis cut in two belts, green and white, bearing an osier basket in the middle, laid on a basis, full of grapes and apples, everything in natural colours.
Paulesti is a village in the Calarasi district, in the north of which the quarry Cimitirul Cailor (Horses’ Cemetery) is placed. This is a protected area from the category of nature geological and paleontological monuments. A mansion of Dinu Ruso – an architecture monument – is situated in the south-eastern part of the village. The oldest plane tree from Moldova is nearby the mansion, as well as 24 forest pine trees, all protected by the state.
