Japan considers possibility to back Moldovan farmers

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Masanobu Yoshii, who ends his diplomatic mission in the country, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Zinaida Greceanii thanked the diplomat and Japan for every support the Japanese partners had been constantly providing to Moldova and which contributed to the country’s social and economic development.
Also, the parliament speaker informed about the excellent cooperation in the fields of culture, science, and education and expressed gratitude for the numerous projects on the modernization of kindergartens, schools and hospitals.
Zinaida Greceanii stressed the important role of Masanobu Yoshii for the development good relations between Japan and Moldova. She voiced confidence in the continuous extension of the multilateral partnership between the two countries.
For his part, Masanobu Yoshii said that Japan was always looking for new opportunities for the development of the collaboration and friendship relations with Moldova. Thus, possibilities are considered to enforce a new programme on supporting farmers, Post-2KR, of continuous extension of Japanese companies’ investments in Moldova, of carrying out new projects in the social sector.
The ambassador received assurances that the Moldovan authorities would make needed efforts to maintain the political and economic stability, providing a friendly framework for the Moldovan-Japanese cooperation.
