Moldovan parliament speaker meets top court's president

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - The fulfillment of the decisions by the Constitutional Court (CCM) is compulsory and all debts accumulated must be liquidated. Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii Zinaida Greceanii today made statements to this effect at a meeting with President of the Constitutional Court Vladimir Turcan, the parliament’s communication and public relations department.
Zinaida Greceanii stressed the openness for a good institutional cooperation and for the implementation of CCM’s addressings and rulings. In this respect, the parliament speaker said that the report on the carrying out of the constitutional jurisdiction for 2019 would be considered quite attentively by the parliament and the Court’s recommendations would be taken into account in continuation.
The sides discussed hindrances, needs to adjust the legislative framework, as well as actions necessary to be undertaken on the next period. In the context, the speaker reiterated that the laws must be clear, the norms – exhaustive and the public interest should be well-defined, in order not to leave room for interpretations and abuses.
The parliament speaker accepted the invitation to participate in the 25th anniversary of the Constitutional Court’s foundation.
Before the parliament spring session, the speaker holds meetings with representatives of the institutions which report to parliament, in order to identify the problems and priorities for medium term.
