Moldsilva forestry agency of Moldova has new director

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - Dumitru Cojocaru has been appointed as director of the Moldsilva forestry agency. He was nominated following a contest organized by the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM). Cojocaru was introduced to the agency’s staff at a today’s meeting, in which the competent minister, Ion Perju, participated.
„The newly nominated director has a working experience of more than 35 years in the forest fund management sector and public administration field; he has abilities in the forest management, financial sectors and is a good coordinator of organizations’ work. Mr. Director, I wish you much success and achievements meeting the citizens’ expectations,” Ion Perju stressed.
For his part, Dumitru Cojocaru gave assurances that he would do his upmost to improve the state of the national forests, degraded lands, protection forest reserves, ”in order to emphasize the priorities dealing with the forest sector and undertake concrete actions to this end.”
The new director graduated from the Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies (Russia) in 1980 and then the Higher Management School from Celle, Germany, in 1996. He is bachelor of economic law. During years, Dumitru Cojocaru has held more positions, acted in various offices in the fields of tourism and hotel services, central and local public administration, as well as management of the state forest fund.
