Moldovan president meets ambassador of Turkey

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Gürol Sökmensüer.

According to the presidential press service, the officials found out with satisfaction the ascendant dynamic of the Moldovan-Turkish political dialogue and the advanced level of the bilateral relations in the most diverse sectors.

The officials were unanimous in the opinion that the official visit to Turkey by the Moldovan president from 29030 December 2019 had been a success. The head of state noted that, during the visit, the sides had managed to hold the first meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and sign four important bilateral agreements.

The Moldovan president thanked Turkey for the financial and technical assistance provided to Moldova through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). Igor Dodon said that, at a recent meeting with the TIKA coordinator in Moldova, Mrs. Selda Özdenoğlu, the sides agreed on jointly carrying out more investment projects all over the country.
