Tenders for construction of 170 km of roads start in country

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon announced today after today’s meeting with the top officials of the country that tenders for construction of 170 kilometers of road had begun.
According to the head of state, the repair of roads in the villages of Moldova is an "ambitious project", which will start in April-May. "At this stage 12 tenders have been announced for the repair of 170 km of roads", declared Igor Dodon. The funding will be from several resources. "It is about the credit that the Republic of Moldova is negotiating with the Russian Federation, as well as its own financial resources. At the Road Fund, where there are already 3.7 billion lei, we added another billion that was set in the Good Roads project,” he said.
Dodon noted that the government also started the inventory of the street lighting needs in the villages of the country. "We will illuminate at least one kilometer of central street in each village, for this 130 million lei are prepared", added the president.
The president also referred to the program for improving water quality and construction of sewers in the province, and said that for the start of this project, the government has allocated 300 million lei from the Ecological Fund.
