Moldovan president congratulates employees of State Protection and Guard Service

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today participated in a festive meeting dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the foundation of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS), the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state conveyed sincere congratulations, along with special thanks and gratitude to all SPPS employees for their self-denial and professionalism proved while fulfilling the tasks entrusted, as well as the veterans of the Service, who were at the foundation of the institution’s creation and due to whom the nicest traditions are preserved and propagated.
„I am happy to find out that, at present, the Service is made up of well-trained officers and non-commissioned officers, whose activity is regulated by a proper legal framework,” Igor Dodon said. The head of state also emphasized with satisfaction the performances achieved by the SPPS employees at various international competitions.
In the context, the Moldovan president assured those present of the Moldovan top leadership’s support to improve the conditions of continuous professional training of SPPS officers and non-commissioned officers, as well as to solve the problems they are facing.
Igor Dodon signed a decree on the awarding of state distinctions and handed the president’s honorary diplomas to employees and veterans of the institution, on the occasion of the holiday and as a token of appreciation of the Service’s work.
