Moldovan PM meets chief executive officer of Mobiasbanca – OTP Group

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobiasbanca – OTP Group László Diósi. In the beginning of the meeting, the PM thanked Diósi for the investment made in Moldova and assured him of the cabinet’s every support for developing the business, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported. 

„You are one of the most important investors in our country. I am happy that you try to enforce here modern financial models and programmes. We are by your side in the carrying out of your plan of extending and cultivating an up-to-date financial education,” Ion Chicu said.

László Diósi said that the financial group he led would make a massive investment in the modernization of the bank’s structure, which will create about 100 new jobs. The director of Mobiasbanca – OTP Group noted that the company’s development plan provided for extending the crediting of the farming sector, backing small- and medium-sized enterprises, enhancing the level of financial education in Moldova, digitalizing the banking system and developing the financial market.   

In the end of the meeting, PM Chicu referred to the First Home programme. “This project is a good example for persuading and encouraging young people to remain in Moldova. The purchasing of a dwelling would stimulate them doing their own business and work here, at home,” the prime minister added.
