Moldovan PM attends official opening of Made in Moldova 2020 national exhibition

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu, accompanied by the cabinet members, today attended the official inauguration of the Fabricat în Moldova 2020 (Made in Moldova 2020) national exhibition, the 19th issue. At the event, products and services by 460 native producers were exhibited, from various branches: food industry, light industry, furniture industry, vine growing, etc., the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM said that the native entrepreneurs were the ones who directly contributed to the changing for the better of the citizens’ lives, and the government was obliged to back the achievement of this goal.
„If we together manage to ensure friendly conditions for your work, many problems will be solved in Moldova. The biggest one is the fact that our young people leave and work abroad. We come up with an appeal to join efforts, along with the development partners, in order to re-bring the hope and confidence that the state Republic of Moldova can work in the interest of its citizens,” the prime minister said.
Ion Chicu noted that the government had as priority the development of the business, with the predictability of public policies being proof in this respect. At the same time, the cabinet will continue the European integration and the implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). “Moldova benefits from the implementation of these agreements. The government will make a balanced foreign policy, which means the re-establishment of Moldova’s relations with all partner countries. I am happy that there are here companies and representatives of business associations from other partner countries, such as Turkey, Russia, China,” the PM noted.
In his message, the prime minister stressed the huge potential of enhancing the native business and increase the exports. To this end, the government comes up with more measures of backing the small enterprises, including work is carried out to develop the online trade. Ion Chicu assured the producers of opening a dialogue with the business environment and of the cabinet’s support to develop the business.
More than 150 foreign companies from over 15 countries, interested in Moldovan goods, participated in the 2020 issue of the exhibition. More forums of business people, seminars and presentations of institutions will be organized at the event. The exhibition was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the patronage of Moldova’s government, and will be staged on 29 January -2 February 2020.
