Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Court of Appeal today turned down the appeals submitted by the Penitentiary No 13 and the National Administration of Penitentiaries, which demanded the suspension of the ruling on the conditional release of the former Moldovan prime minister, Vlad Filat.
According to the arguments by the National Administration of Penitentiaries, Filat did not meet at least two conditions from the individual plan, which provides for the conditional release ahead of the schedule.
Besides the conditional release, the ruling by the Chisinau Court, Ciocana district, cancelled the complementary punishments, which saw the interdiction to hold public offices during five years and the withdrawal of the Order of the Republic, awarded in 2013.
