Prosecutor General's Office to insist to find former leader of Democrats

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/- Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo said on Thursday after the meeting of the Superior Council of Prosecutors that the General Prosecutor's Office will insist on the international search for former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova Vladimir Plahotniuc.

Stoianoglo said that last week he received from Interpol a letter notifying the Moldovan authorities that the international organization has received international search request. "In the near future, we will present new materials to help find him faster" he said.

Plahotniuc was in international and interstate search by the National Anticorruption Center. The decision was taken after he failed to appear before the criminal investigation body to be heard in a criminal case on money laundering in especially large amounts.
