Moldovan foreign affairs minister receives Ambassador of Latvia

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The extension of the Moldovan-Latvian cooperation in diverse sectors, transposition of good practices in the national legislation, implementation of projects with Latvian assistance in Moldova were discussed at a today’s meeting between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and Ambassador of Latvia to Moldova Uldis Mikuts.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service, the officials tackled the need to boost the political dialogue, including through organizing a visit by Minister Aureliu Ciocoi to Riga in next February.
The Moldovan diplomacy head reiterated the importance of finishing the negotiations and signing, as soon as possible, of the agreement between Moldova and Latvia in the social security field, as well as of organizing the next meeting of the Moldovan-Latvian inter-governmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation.
