Moldovan premier meets Kyrgyz counterpart

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu has had a meeting with PM of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev at the Digital Future of Global Economy forum, held in Kazakhstan, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
After greeting each other, the prime ministers reviewed a string of subjects in the fields of trade, economy, social and cultural sectors.
The officials found out that the small volume of commercial operations between Moldova and Kazakhstan represented an opportunity in itself. The sides stressed that the bilateral communication must be boosted, in order to turn to account this opportunity. In this respect, the officials ruled to resume the meetings of the Moldovan-Kyrgyz inter-governmental commission and Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev proposed to hold the meeting in Kyrgyzstan.
PM Chicu informed his Kyrgyz counterpart about the Moldovan cabinet’s priorities and goals. “Moldova provides a quite attractive model of work for investors in the Free Economic Zones, from where products can easily reach the EU market and other markets with about 900 million consumers,” the Moldovan official said.
Ion Chicu noted that, in 2020, the government of Moldova would massively invest in modernizing the infrastructure, pursuing the objective to industrialize the country, create jobs and improve the people’s well-being.
