Last month of winter to start with warm weather, rains in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The last month of winter will start with air temperatures of up to +15 Celsius degrees and rains, according to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS).

Meteorologists said that, on 1-4 February, the maximal air temperatures would vary between +9 and +15 degrees during the day and between 0 and +5 degrees at night. Starting from 5 February, the weather will slightly cool, with the lowest air temperatures due to be recorded in the northern regions - -6 degrees at night.

On the concerned period, rains are expected all over Moldova, except for the northern region, where light snow and sleet is possible. Also, the warning on the thin ice danger on water basins remains in force till 7 February.
