Moldovan parliament speaker meets director general of National Energy Regulatory Agency

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with the director general of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Veaceslav Untila, within the string of meetings with representatives of central specialty bodies of the public administration and of those which are responsible before the legislative body, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker stressed the need of functional mechanisms of regulation in the energy sector. Zinaida Greceanii expressed openness for cooperation in the change and improvement of the legislative norms. At the same time, Greceanii highlighted the respect for ANRE’s independence.
The sides tackled subjects on the implementation of energy projects, which will contribute to the development of Moldova’s energy sector. Veaceslav Untila unveiled an analysis proving the need to cap the tariffs for oil products, asking for the government’s support. The officials also discussed the necessity to amend the norms on the energy market, renewable energy and situation on the oil products market.
