Moldova's Centre for Continuous Electoral Training has new director

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) members today voted the plan on the work of the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) for 2020-2023.
CEC Secretary Maxim Lebedinschi has said that “this plan was worked out with the support of the Council of Europe and represents a completion of CEC’s actions in the electoral policies’ sector.”
Also today, the CEC members appointed a PhD in political sciences, Doina Bordeianu, as CICDE director. Bordeianu said that the first action provided for in the plan was focused on the early electoral education. “On the occasion of the Global Elections Day, CICDE experts will explain to kindergarten children the importance of the right to elect and be elected,” Bordeianu noted.
The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training was set up under the Central Electoral Commission, in order to train and qualify electoral civil servants, including people from the register of electoral civil servants, to continuously improve professional skills of these civil servants, subjects involved in the electoral process in Moldova, as well as other people interested.
