Chisinau, Tiraspol to coordinate measures of prevention, spread of new-type coronavirus

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - Experts in the public health sector from both banks of Dniester today convened at a working meeting, in order to coordinate and consolidate efforts of prevention and response to the spread of the new-type coronavirus, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

Competent specialists from Chisinau and Tiraspol exchanged information on the present stage and developments dealing with the registration of cases of infection regionally and globally. They evoked the actions undertaken by both banks to prevent the spread of the virus and inform the citizens about the protection measures recommended to be observed.  

Representatives of the World Health Organization, who attended the meeting, unveiled technical instructions as to the investigation and diagnosing the virus. They expressed full openness to back the institutions in charge from both banks of Dniester, in order to promptly act, in the context of discovering infection cases.  

At the same time, the participants in the discussions approached also the subject on ensuring free movement, in the conditions of measures of preventing the spread of the virus.

The sides reiterated the commitment to maintain a dynamic dialogue for monitoring the developments as to the emerged situation, in order to protect the citizens’ health and well-being.
