Concept of development of research sector in Moldova to be set up

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu held a discussion with Ion Tighineanu, the head of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Tighineanu informed Chicu about the achievements of the Moldovan researchers, the problems they are facing and plans for the coming period.

The premier said he is aware of the problems of the sector, and approached shortage of young researchers – “I think our strategies and plans in the area should be focused on attracting young people to research ”.

Chicu decided that a meeting will be held with participation of representatives from research, education and business environment to determine the conception of development of the research sector in Moldova.
